I, MAATTY

Sometimes it only takes one word, one style, and one idea to create something original.

“Minimalism, simplicity, and a touch of playfulness… that’s my world… step in, the doors are closing.”

MAATTY is a young Czech artist living with autism. His work is characterized by precise, abstract lines inspired by urban systems, maps, and movement in space. What began as a fascination with public transport maps evolved into a visual language based on repetition, rhythm, and geometric storytelling.

From an early age, it was clear that visual structures had a calming and organizing effect on him. Over the years, his style has developed into a unique artistic expression — a combination of architectural logic and intense emotion. MAATTY most often works with acrylic on canvas, using grids, masking tape, and his exceptional visual memory.

In 2025, he was included in the “30 Under 30” ranking by Forbes Czech Republic — recognition of both his artistic impact and his personal story. Despite communication barriers, MAATTY fully expresses himself through his work. His paintings are not merely compositions — they are maps of emotion, portraits of thought, and bridges between the inner and outer worlds.
